It is installed at the equalizer (balance beam) pivot, where it connects the balance beam to the hanger bracket and allows the beam to rock — equalizing spring load between the two axles and keeping axle spacing and wheel tracking stable under braking, cornering and uneven road conditions. It is supplied as a replacement part for worn, seized or sheared pivot pins on trailers already in service.   Manufactured in iron with a black finish, with other colours negotiable on request, the pin is produced to the listed 1-14T*51*274 specification so that it seats into the existing equalizer and hanger assembly.
